INTERSKI - Is the once every 4 year meeting of
Ski Instructors from around the world which looks at all aspects of
the teaching of skiing. Instructors from dozens of countries get together
for 1 week to take part in clinics, on snow demonstrations, workshops, and
lectures. I have been fortunate to attend 4 past INTERSKI conferences
in Crans Montana, Switzerland (2003), Beitostolen, Norway (1999) , Nozawa
Onsen, Japan (1995) and St.Anton, Austria (1991). The next INTERKSI will be
held in 2007 in Korea. Look for further information on INTERSKI on the CANSI Web site
under links. To attend INTERSKI costs anywhere from $3000-4000 and I have
been lucky to have the support of many past sponsors which help offset
the cost of attending INTERSKI. I pass on what I learn in these conferences
in CANSI instructor courses and in the ski tips on these web pages.
Below are several images from these past INTERSKI Conferences.
