Sea Kayaking in Eastern Newfoundland

We haven't paddled much in Eastern Newfoundland but finally got there in the summer of 2009. This area has lots of options and if readers have more suggestion - let us know.

Stan Cook has been operating out of Cape Broyle for many years and we can we why he chose this spot. It offers everything from eagles to waterfalls to a vibrant inter-tidal life and spectacular coastal scenery. We opted for the 2.5 hour go and tow which is a neat twist. You get to see more coastline since you get picked up by a boat at the end of your tour. We paddled for about 8 km and were treated to first class interpretation and our guide challenged us by paddling through some narrow passages and into sea caves. You couldn't do any better than a paddle at Cape Broyle with Stan Cook and company. Click Cook for more images and information
