Harmon Seaside Links
The Harmon Seaside Links
are located in Stephenville, NL and are a challenging 18 hole course
located along the shores of Bay St. George. The total length is around 6200
yards for the men's and 5600 yards for the women's tee. The course is flat
- great for walking-and there is almost a constant breeze which keeps you cool on those warm
summer days. It has also has views of the Indian Head Range and while we
were there we saw osprey circling the water hazards for prey. We recently
played after several days of rain and were impressed with how dry the course

Humber River Golf Course
This course parallels the Humber River in places and offers an easy walking course cut through a mature spruce and fir forest. The course is relatively short (2800 yards for the men and 2400 for the women) but this doesn't make the course any easier. You must hit the ball straight since the fairways are narrow. There is wildlife in the form of ducks and rabbits (and occasional moose) and the Humber River makes a nice backdrop on the 4th hole. The course has 9 holes and a driving range. Humber Valley Resort Golf Course-
If you want to play a great new golf course try Humber Valley Resort's new layout. This award winning course is destined to become a 'must play' course for people visiting Newfoundland and Atlantic Canada. With its location along the Humber River with spectacular views of the Humber Valley and Deer Lake you will have a hard time keeping your eye on the ball. Where as some courses have 1 or 2 signature holes, this course easily has 9 or 10. The front nine brings you out along Deer Lake and the shorter back nine has scenic views of the Humber Valley. You can also stay in one of the new chalets or dine at the Beach House. See Humber Valley Resort For more images of this course click GOLF .
Grand Falls Golf Course
We recently had a chance to play this fine 18 hole golf course in central Newfoundland. The course is bounded by the Exploits River and split by Rushy Pond Brook. The back nine has been recently designed by Graham Cooke and features tight fairways and water comes into play on several holes. I was especially pleased with my par on the final hole which features a long second shot over water. The course is 5871 yards off the whites. The course is one of the oldest in the province (established in 1925) and keep your eye open for wildlife like caribou, moose, fox and even eagles. For more information see: www.grandfallsgolf.com
Dhoon Lodge Golf Course
Dhoon Lodge has created the only par 3 course in the
area and it is a fun place to practice your short game or for beginning
golfers. We recently played 9 holes there and liked the its straightforward
layout. They have also developed several longer holes which gives you some
variation if you want to play 18 holes. And this is one of the few golf
courses where there is a salmon river right next door. So if you like to
combining fishing and golfing this is an ideal spot. Click
