Biography
I teach photography in the BFA program at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, a campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland, in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada.
I am a visual artist with a background in photography and printmaking. Currently, my main technical interest is photogravure and the creation of works on paper involving intaglio and letterpress. I have worked with other alternative photographic processes including gum bichromate and pinhole. I am also exploring the artistic potential of artistamps and limited edition artist's books.
I am the co-author of Copper Plate Photogravure: Demystifying the Process, by David Morrish and Marlene MacCallum, published by Focal Press in March, 2003. You can find information on this book as well as the process of photogravure on www.photogravure.net.
