The centre piece of the Theatre Program at Grenfell since its
inception is the extended trip to Memorial University's campus in Harlow,
England. Currently, the trip occurs in the second
semester of fourth year and is anywhere from six to eight weeks in duration.
While resident in Harlow, our students take courses from
British theatre professionals, visit museums and galleries, travel throughout
Europe and, of course, see all manner of world class theatre - everything from
Shakespeare at the Royal Shakespeare Company to leading contemporary productions
at the Royal National Theatre, opera, ballet and cutting edge fringe
productions.

The
Harlow trip is a compulsory component of the program and, in that regard, is a
feature both unique and exciting about our theatre program. Many of our
graduates claim that the time they spent in Harlow was both life-affirming and
life altering.
