Marlene MacCallum"The Dr. Wynanne Downer CFUW Corner Brook Award fundraiser is an opportunity to bring together the work of four woman artists who have worked together in the visual arts program at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College. Our diversity of experience manifests itself in the varied production of our art work. The print that I have included is one of the twelve photogravure images I created for the book work “pink story: dextral/sinistral”.

"This was a collaborative project with my colleague, Barb Hunt, and Linda Foulds and Shirley Greer both worked with me on the production of the piece. Detailed information and images on this project can be viewed at the web site .Marlene MacCallum has been making photogravure prints since 1994. She began researching the process in 1993 along with David Morrish. As a result of this research, they have published the book "Copper Plate Photogravure: Demystifying the Process" in 2003 (Focal Press). |
