On Saturday, March 10, 7 to 9 p.m., there will be an opening reception for Titanic! All Year Student Juried Exhibition at Grenfell Campus Art Gallery. There will be a spoken word performance, Unsinkable Ship, by Rachel Elliot at 7:20. p.m.

 The exhibition features 17 works by 14 artists in the Fine Arts Program who explore a broad variety of media and forms including painting, sculpture, installation, video, sound and an original music score.

 The exhibition is being held in conjunction with The Titanic Symposium: A Centenary Remembrance, hosted at Grenfell Campus by Grenfell’s Historical Studies program and Corner Brook Regional High and taking place March 15 to 17.

 All are welcome and refreshments will be served.

 

 Panel discussion on Narrative Painting, Friday, Jan.27, 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Speakers will be art historian, Gerard Curtis, and three of the exhibiting artists--Gillian Iles, Phil Irish and Paul Robert Turner. Room 224 in the Fine Arts Building and continuing at Grenfell Campus Art Gallery. All are welcome.

Family Art Paint and Portrait Saturday at Grenfell Campus Art Gallery

Please join us in the Atrium of the Fine Arts Building on Saturday, February  4 from 1:00 to 2:30 to create painted portraits inspired by the artwork in the current gallery exhibition, Indiscretions: Narrative Painting Now.  All materials supplied (except for your painting shirt) and admission is free.
